Vivitek DH768-UST: laser projector for museums and art galleries
Published in Digital AV Magazine
Vivitek has expanded its range of ultra short-throw laser projectors D760Z with the addition of the model DH768-UST , which joins the existing DH765Z-UST and DW763Z-UST. This equipment is ideal for environments that need to reproduce exact colors or tones, such as a museum or gallery where it is necessary to project an image of a painting or another work of art in its real colors.
Thanks to its shape, size and UST technology, the DH768Z-UST will be well received for applications where there is not enough space for a conventional projector or in places where mounting on the ceiling is complicated.
Its ultra short throw design features an inlaid reflecting mirror. This allows a projection size of a diagonal image from 80 to 150 inches from only 40 cm from the screen. The positioning of the DH768Z-UST so extremely close to the projection surface also eliminates any shadow of the presenters or visitors who are close to the screen.
This device offers Full HD 1080p and WXGA resolution. It features an advanced laser phosphor light engine for high color and brightness uniformity combined with a brightness of 3,100 ANSI lumens and a sharp contrast ratio of 12,000: 1.
Like all other Vivitek projection solutions, the DH768Z-UST has been designed to provide a long life, thanks to a sealed optical engine and an improved ventilation system. In addition, it does not need maintenance, thanks to its design of laser light source without lamp, which provides up to 20,000 hours of operation.
The DH768Z-UST offers a wide range of connectivity options, including two HDMI, component, composite video, S-Video and VGA input / output. It also incorporates to 10 W speaker and multiple audio input and output ports.
