Importing a render of an interior design onto the digital canvas, capturing the team's ideas on top, making it even more realistic with images of the elements that will be changed during the definition and development of the project, is just one of the new work dynamics at Coblonal with the new interactive monitor in your home office.

The high-quality interior design and construction studio, Coblonal, has incorporated a 75” Clevertouch interactive monitor into its showroom and meeting room, to enhance its project presentations in a more dynamic way and better convey the message in highly complex jobs.

With 24 years of experience in the residential and commercial sector, Coblonal is characterized by uniqueness and quality, to devise and execute each of its designs. In February 2019, the firm moved to a new space, much larger and more central, in Tetuán square in Barcelona. A home-office, designed as an office with the soul of a home in an open space, with different work areas for the team and the reception of visits from clients and collaborators.

Under the mezzanine stands out a high table with very special functions. It is an area designed to imagine and show the spaces they project. In it they meet, share plans and visualizations of the project with the team, collaborators and clients, review samples and make compositions of finishes. Over time, it has become the ideal space to present the project to clients. A multifunctional and versatile space where they have recently installed the 75" Clevertouch UX PRO interactive monitor with advice from the AV PymeTech Adviser and Charmex installer.

“We use the Clevertouch screen to show clients project details, add comments and edits on the fly. It is available to the entire team for their meetings, with collaborators and with clients, the latter being the priority”, says Joan Llongueras, owner partner and creative director of Coblonal.

For the study, each project is unique, because each client is different and, although certain common elements can be identified in their projects, each one is adapted to the ways of living and acting of its inhabitants or users. Although they already used iPads for this purpose, the Clevertouch monitor "offered us the opportunity to do it in unbeatable conditions and for a group of more than two people, as is usual in our case", points out Joan Llongueras.

And it is that, the Clevertouch UX PRO range, designed for professional environments, provides more fluid writing thanks to the patented Super Glide Touch technology. Something important to draw or write freehand. It's as easy as writing on a conventional whiteboard, with no delays. With the ability to differentiate between palm-erasing, finger-writing and stylus writing, there's no need to change settings mid-flow.

“We highlight the dynamism and interactivity by allowing us to make modifications and annotations at the moment to the plan and compare it with clients and collaborators. On the other hand, the images and renderings are displayed in unbeatable conditions, which facilitates their presentation since it is not necessary to print them. Lluís Sala, from PymeTech, offered us all the necessary advice to get started, the rest you learn on your own. Its use is very intuitive”, highlights Llongueras.

After the training, in the studio they can give even more dynamism to their meetings, where they talk about highly complex jobs, with plans and renders. The monitor includes LYNX Whiteboard 7, Cloud software. This program has a touch interface and all the tools at your fingertips.

Their large selection of pens is for attractive notation in your presentations. Rainbow pen, fountain pen, letter recognition, shape recognition, even a pen that simulates a laser pointer. Pressure and speed help decide the thickness of the line as the user writes on the pen display, just like with a real pen.

Another very useful function is to search for Internet content directly from the LYNX Whiteboard, without having to exit the software, and to be able to import them into presentations or plans. Thus, the client or supplier can both get involved in the modifications of the proposal, as well as get a more visual idea.

Collaborators, for example in the middle of a show with clients, select between Bing Images, YouTube videos, GIFs. When the desired content is selected, they simply drag and drop it onto the presentation or blueprint. Or if you prefer, you can search Google through the browser panel, which allows you to open web pages from the LYNX Whiteboard itself. To do this, simply type in the address bar or in the search box and it takes them to the desired destination.

Using the browser's settings menu, you take screenshots of a web page and then paste them onto your digital canvas. Coupled with this, LYNX Blackboard has a functionality where several layers are handled separately, very useful for professionals who work with plans and are used to using programs like Autocad or Photoshop. It's as simple as importing the file and “moving it to the back”, to the back layer, to start annotating without disturbing the plan or sketch. Later you can move the notes to the back layer and thus everything remains in the same file.

“Before, we used a large television as a computer monitor. It was located next to the entrance to the studio and exposed to passers-by, so it could not always be used, depending on the type of information to be processed”, he explains.

Although at the beginning the installation of the interactive monitor was thought to be used only for the client, it has also been incorporated for meetings with suppliers and collaborators where representatives of the project, budget and construction team meet. Sometimes even for video conferencing when at least two members of your team are involved.

And another use is for internal training where they share content or information relevant to the team. Internally, the LYNX Whiteboard software is very useful because it is cloud-based and cross-platform, for collaboration. Therefore, each one can have the notes and after the meeting enter from home on their device.

As the owner partner and creative director comments, in the future they would like to "incorporate the possibility that our clients can enjoy a virtual tour of their new home in 3d and go a step beyond 2d plans and static images in 3d.
