Epson projectors illuminate the Novena of the Virgin of Miracles in Ourense
Every year at the beginning of September, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Miracles in Baños de Molgas, Orense, receives hundreds of people who come to the temple on a night pilgrimage from the city for the popular Novena and Pilgrimage in honor of the Virgin of the Miracles. Miracles. In 2023 the event was accompanied by special audiovisuals, a mapping interacted on the main façade of the church, in a baroque-neoclassical style that resembles a giant stone altarpiece, with its balcony and altar.

During one night the esplanade of the sanctuary, planned for large crowds, became a stage for visitors, controlled by the company Isgal Eventos , the four towers, topped with cupulines on which simple crosses are erected, came to life with images of candelabras , luminous stars and mosaics that also illuminated the integrated balcony where the image of the virgin is located, guarded on both sides by the images of San Joachim and Santa Ana. And it was the projection of a large virgin with flower petals and prayers that concluded with the act of almost 10 minutes.
It was a solution, consisting of 1 Epson projector of 20,000 lumens, with a wide-angle lens and stacking frame, controlled by Isgal Eventos and supplied by Charmex, all on a layer protected with a tent.
“It was a demanding projection, the weather was adverse, with the rain the façade was wet, but the projectors did not present technical obstacles since the product is very well designed for the use we wanted,” explains Aleixo Alonso, manager of Isgal Eventos .
Those who created and executed the entire mapping were two operators from Isgal Eventos, a company specialized in the design, realization and production of all types of events, such as congresses, concerts, visual shows, fairs or conventions in any of their forms; in-person or hybrids.
Regarding the production work, Isgal Eventos comments that they first implemented the methodology and then bought the product, it is the 20,000 lumens Epson projector from the PU series with advanced Blending and Stacking functions, “we chose it for its ease and versatility , apart from the training and guarantees provided by the brand,” highlights Ángel Martínez, head of video at Isgal Eventos.
Epson's high-brightness laser projector , renowned for its colorimetry, provided the installation with vivid, bright images. And this equipment is usually used for the rental market thanks to its robustness and extensive connectivity, ideal for large events; very useful for mapping and large screens. In addition, the blending method allows this projector to be combined with several machines to create scenarios that captivate viewers.

Thanks to this installation and the acquisition of their latest Epson equipment, which joins others of 15K and 12K Lumens, they are convinced that their service can help make mapping more accessible to small town councils and other municipal entities, so that they can include mapping on the facades of your special events.
“We have the latest technologies, the most modern equipment to make the event in which we collaborate a success,” comments the manager. And as they explain, they usually use this equipment at an event every 2 months and for an average of 3 days at each event. The 2 operators in the visual department access the product, they had specific training from Epson.
“Now that we have gained image quality, we want to contribute to more events. The objective we have with this projector is to get it to small town councils, trying to make them see it as an accessible and local product.
