The Polaris Nautika Eskola sailing school prepares students to obtain different nautical-sports qualifications such as the navigation license or the skipper of pleasure boats or yachts. To encourage dynamism and collaboration, students have the 75” Clevertouch Impact interactive monitor, distributed by Charmex and thanks to the advice of Dinof , and which has been designed to meet both the needs of the digital environment and those of the conventional classroom.

The function of the pen display

Throughout the classes, the students focus, for example, on the different problems that can arise in navigation, something that is complemented by solving doubts about the rest of the topics. “We focus, not on passing the exam that we are sure the students will achieve, but on learning, on the practical application of the content learned and on the agility in solving problems, which is perhaps the main stumbling block of the test.

The mission of the center is that students learn to navigate safely and for this they offer entertaining theoretical classes, with audiovisual content and oriented to learning through practice. They also have access to an online classroom where they have useful teaching material, whether they have not been able to attend class or need to practice, with various multiple choice questions, as the course progresses.

The aim is that, in addition to obtaining the degree, the learning is applicable when they are at sea”, comments Héctor García Calvo, manager of the school.

And that's where the Clevertouch Impact pen display comes in. “The class not only gains in interactivity with the students when solving doubts and problems, but also allows us to share with them the annotations and resolutions that are made on the screen. The interaction is absolute, both with the Blackboard application and with the LUX 8.0 interface. In addition, both tools provide links to the browser to display information from the Internet”, explains García.

“Our students are delighted with the new class format”

Clevertouch Impact monitors provide an intuitive and collaborative experience. “Its LUX 8.0 interface is easy to use, thanks to simple, fast apps and gestures built to make everyday tasks seamless. It also has audiovisual material from different sources and great state-of-the-art connectivity”, concludes García.
